Sylff Program
The Program supports students enrolled in master’s (MA), Master’s of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and doctoral (Ph.D.) degree programs in the Faculty of Arts at Jadavpur University with high potential for leadership in national, regional and international affairs, in public life as well as in private endeavors, by awarding fellowships. These fellowships will be awarded to outstanding students, with leadership potential, majoring in social sciences and humanities fields and whose studies focus on the theme, "Tradition, Social Change and Sustainable Development," that is any issue or problem relevant to contemporary Indian society and adopts a holistic approach.
