Academic achievement, social engagement initiatives:
Angela Freitas received her BSc degree in Geography in the University of Coimbra in 2006, and her MSc degree in GIS and Spatial Planning in the University of Porto in 2011. Currently, she is a PhD student of the Department of Geography at the University of Coimbra. Since 2012, she has been working as a (junior) researcher in national and international research projects in the field of health geography and health equity (eg. GeoHealthS and EU funded project EURO-HEALTHY). Her research work focuses on the link between ‘place, policies and population health’, from the perspective of Health in All Policies and urban health equity.
