Loshni pursued a fast-track PhD after graduating with First Class Honors in English and Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham. As someone who believes in action-oriented research, her interest lies in the intersection of sexual violence, narratives, and language. Her doctoral thesis explored the anticipation of blame in personal narratives of rape. She hopes to continue working with people who have experienced sexual violence and making space for them to contribute their voices to research, especially in honor-centric Southeast Asian societies where sexual violence continues to be treated as taboo.
