Gordon Nanau is Associate Professor, Head of Pacific Studies and Deputy Head, School of Māoi Studies & Pacific Studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He curently assists in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UoA. He is a keen obsever of the impacts of globalisation on local communities in the Pacific with strong research interests in the political economy of development projects, ural livelihoods, political leadership, and public sector refoms. His other research interests include elections, democracy, sustainable development initiatives, and Pacific epistemologies. Dr. Nanau hails from Tathimboko on Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands.
