Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives:
Faid actively teaches and guides university students and conducts research on tourism development. He has published articles on tourism in several scientific journals and local newspapers. Apart from teaching and researching, he often performs community service by teaching and training the community in tourism village management. He also involves in tourism organizations, such as Madura Tourism Association (ASPRIM), The Indonesian Tourist Guide Association (HPI), Batu Tourism Professional Association (BAPTA), Batu Tourism Village Forum (FORDEWI) and several tourism NGOs to empower the community through tourism village.

Faid is a lecturer of tourism and hospitality at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Brawijaya University. He completed his undergraduate degree in tourism management in 2006 from STMP ARS International in Bandung - Jawa Barat and his tourism master's degree in 2009 from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta - Indonesia, where he got a SYLFF scholarship. He got a scholarship from STMP ARS International when he studied in the undergraduate program. He also actively participated in tourism discussion forums and was involved in student organizations. As a master's student at Gadjah Mada University, he actively participated in several tourism seminars and wrote the English books "Fundamental of English Grammar," "Cara Cepat Belajar 16 Tenses", and several articles on tourism published by the local newspaper. He was also the chairman of the Social Sciences and Humanities Forum (FISH) at Gadjah Mada University in 2008. From 2009 to 2011, he became a tourism lecturer at AMPTA College in Yogyakarta. Since 2012 he has been a lecturer at Brawijaya University. As a lecturer, he led the Travel Business Study Program (DIII) and Hotel Management Study Program (DIV) from 2013 to 2017. Besides being a lecturer, he founded Nusantara Tourism Center (eNTCe) in 2011. This tourism consultancy has the core activity to provide tourism consulting services and advice to Indonesia's private and public sectors, such as the tourism development masterplan, tourist market analysis, tourism business development planning, and so on. Because of his capability, the Indonesian government and NGOs often invited him to be a speaker or trainer in several tourism forums and training. From 2019 to 2022, he was trusted by the Batu City Government as a tourism expert, and from 2021 up to now, he has been charged by the Sumenep Government as a tourism expert. His role in this position is to give advice and input to both local governments (Batu and Sumenep) in making policies and decisions related to tourism development.

Furthermore, in April 2023, he completed his doctoral studies in tourism at Udayana University in Bali - Indonesia, with a scholarship from the Government of Indonesia (LPDP). He wrote a dissertation on community empowerment for independence in the tourism village development in Batu City - Indonesia.

Currently, he spends a lot of his time teaching and training university students, writing and researching, providing training and technical guidance to communities in the field of tourism, and providing tourism advisory services to the local government and the private sector.
