Alexander Dobrian is the Associate Director of Supply Chain Transformation at NYU Langone Health, based in New York City. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Johnson & Johnson, and a Scrum Master certification, and is currently pursuing the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation. He completed his B.S. in Supply Chain Management and Marketing Sciences from Rutgers University and earned an MBA specialized in Innovation & Operations Management from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), supported by the Sylff fellowship.
His research focused on enhancing supply chain resilience in the healthcare sector. His work included developing a state space model to simulate and analyze complex supply chain dynamics, earning him APU's Outstanding Research Project award.
In his current role, Alexander leads a portfolio of transformation initiatives spanning inventory visibility, digital supply chain technology, and automation. His recent work has included implementing a transportation management system, deploying RFID and electronic shelf label programs across clinical supply rooms, and establishing an inventory control and quality assurance function focused on inventory accuracy and patient safety.
Alexander is passionate about leveraging technology to improve supply chain operations. He is dedicated to navigating the complexities of the healthcare supply chain and contributing to a more resilient and equitable healthcare system.
