Amber Darwish

Amber Darwish is an experienced senior consultant and emerging scholar who specialises in issues relating to arms control (conventional weapons) and specifically the global regulation of small arms and light weapons/firearms.  She currently provides expert advice to several UN agencies on the development and delivery of policy and legislative programmes in the field of arms control and disarmament, as well as support for UN training and capacity-building initiatives.  She previously held an appointment by the UN Secretary General as an arms expert on a UN Security Council sanctions monitoring panel addressing Somalia and Eritrea.
