Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives:
Antonio Paiva conducted a Phd research on Urban Governance in Latin America in 2003 with the support of a Sylff fellowship fund.In recent years he has focused in sustainable architecture, digital architectural design and innovations in education towards embedding sustainability thinking into Architecture and Built Environment Education.

Antonio Paiva (1966) is an architect, holds a MA in Urban Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a PhD degree from Utrecht University (Utrecht, The Netherlands). Based on The Netherlands, he is engaged with innovative and sustainable architecture, urban resilience and education. He works at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg (The Netherlands)as a senior researcher/lecturer at the School for Sustainable Built Environment. In addition to his doctoral dissertation, he has written an published essays on urban culture (La Sifrina Comedia) and philosophy of the city (La ciudad Liberal).
