 Originally from the United Kingdom, Christopher Lees graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in modern languages (French, German, Greek). In 2007, he moved to Greece, obtaining an MA in linguistics from the University of Athens (where he was a Sylff fellow in 2011) and the Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguistics for professional translations from Greek into English. He is currently a PhD student in sociolinguistics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, researching the linguistic practices of teenagers on social networking sites and their implications for language teaching.
