Darko Stevanović was born on 1 September 1998 in Petrovac na Mlavi, Republic of Serbia. He completed both primary and secondary school in his hometown as a student with outstanding academic performance.
He enrolled at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in the academic year 2017/2018, where he graduated on 11 June 2021 with an overall GPA of 10.00/10. During his undergraduate studies, he was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia and consistently achieved excellent academic results.
As a master’s student at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, Civil Law module, Property Law sub-module I, he successfully completed all examinations with an average grade of 10.00/10. He defended his master’s thesis entitled “Non-Registered Ownership Rights (Off-Register Ownership)” under the supervision of Professor Miloš Živković on 29 September 2022, with a grade of 10.
He enrolled in doctoral academic studies at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in November 2022, in the Civil Law scientific field. He has passed all doctoral examinations with a grade of 10.00/10, maintaining an average of 10.00/10. He has successfully defended his doctoral research project on the topic “The Principle of Unity of Immovable Property” and his doctoral dissertation project on “The Importance of the Principle of Good Faith for the Acquisition of Ownership Rights”.
During May and June 2023 and 2024, he attended the “Spring School / Pilot Master Law and Gender” at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, and since October 2024 he has been a member of the Law and Gender (LAWGEM) master’s program delivered in English.
Darko has participated in a dozen international and domestic academic and expert conferences, seminars and workshops. Additionally, he has authored several research papers. He holds the ECDL Start Certificate (4 modules) issued by JISA. He speaks English, French, and German.
