Received Sylff fellowship in 2025
Academic supervisor : Paula Duarte Lopes
Current affiliation : Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra

I am a postgraduate student in International Relations – Peace, Security and Development Studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra.
My academic interests lie at the intersection of peace studies, environmental governance, and political ecology, with a particular focus on environmental peacebuilding and climate-related conflict dynamics. I am currently developing my dissertation on the Central African Republic, examining the environmental dimensions of the conflict and the corresponding mandate of the UN stabilization mission (MINUSCA).
My work is grounded in critical peacebuilding perspectives and emphasizes bottom-up approaches, local knowledge, and socio-ecological resilience. Methodologically, I work primarily with qualitative research methods. I am interested in research collaboration, conferences, and future doctoral training in peace and conflict studies.
