Current affiliation: Associate professor in the Department of Business and Public Management (VAD) at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil 

Marco acts in projects and researches about governance and strategy for SMEs, family business, cooperatives, associations, NGOs, LPAs (local productive arrangements), clusters, geographical regions (GIs) and value chains. Conejero is economist and PhD. in business management by University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (FEA-USP). MSc. in business management by FEA-RP/USP. He was visiting researcher at the Howard University, in Washington DC, USA, in 2006, and at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2009. He was manager of the Agribusiness Research and Knowledge Center at the PwC Brazil (PricewaterhouseCoopers) and partner of other think tanks in Brazil.
