Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives:
I am currently doing my doctor of philosophy in Social Development. My research on marginalise community specifically on youth homelessness in Kuala Lumpur. Continuation of my research on this topic, I personally involved with advocacy and social empowerment activities for this target group which now currently my committed friends and I are forming a Non-profit Organisation called Ar-Riqab Kuala Lumpur Welfare Society (Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ar-Riqab Kuala Lumpur).

I have deep interest and passion towards social issues specifically on topics such as community development and empowerment, marginalise and inequality in the society since I persue my bachelor degree. I involved with research projects on these topics to help me gain more experience, knowledge, better understanding and new perspective from grassroots level which I believe is vital in policy making, academic writing and personal development. My future plan is to do postdoctoral research in Japan to study homeless issues.

My first experience with homeless empowerment is through a pop-up store organisation organise by Gender Studies Programme, University of Malaya which provide clothing and toiletries to homeless and urban poor in Kuala Lumpur. Later, for my data collection for Ph.D, I approached a social activist Madam Nor Akmar Ali, which now is the president of the organisation that my friends and I are forming. The objective of this organisation is catering needs and welfare of street fellows.
