A.M. Rashika Saman Kumari Abesinghe, Ph.D., serves as a junior researcher at Waseda Institute of Political Economy, Waseda University. She also employes as a consultant for AFRIEL, a non - governmental organization focused on reconciliation with its headquarters in Sri Lanka and as a lecturer at Kyoritsu Women's University, Japan. Rashika earned her BA in criminology from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka and her MSS in criminology from the Dhaka University, Bangladesh. She received her second master's and doctoral degree from the Waseda University, Japan. Her main research interests include positive peace development, peace education and gender.
