Rima Amalia Eka Widya is an international program specialist focused on global academic cooperation, student mobility, and intercultural engagement. She serves as the National and International Program Coordinator at the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), where she facilitates institutional partnerships, manages exchange and internship programs, and organizes international conferences and academic events. She holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from UGM, with research centered on higher education diplomacy and international student mobility. In addition to her academic leadership roles, Rima is committed to social empowerment and cultural diplomacy. She supports women’s welfare and community outreach as Secretary of Dharma Wanita Persatuan at the Faculty of Animal Science UGM, and promotes traditional Indonesian music and cross-cultural appreciation as Founder of the Animal Science Angklung Club. In 2025, she expanded her impact through the SLI 2025 program, advancing community-based waste management and circular economy initiatives in Yogyakarta.

Rima Amalia Eka Widya has established a strong professional track record in international higher education, academic program management, and global collaboration. Holding a Master of Arts in International Relations from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), her academic interests focus on international academic diplomacy and global student mobility, as reflected in her thesis on Indonesia’s higher education diplomacy strategy to increase international student mobility.
Since 2013, Rima has served as the National and International Program Coordinator at the Faculty of Animal Science, UGM, where she facilitates partnerships with global universities, manages inbound and outbound exchanges, internships, and study visits, and organizes international conferences, seminars, and workshops. Her professional contributions strengthen UGM’s internationalization strategy and broaden global academic engagement for students and faculty.
Rima is also actively engaged in academic quality assurance and scientific communication. She has contributed to international accreditation preparations and provides editorial support for scientific events and journals, including the International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP) and Buletin Peternakan. These roles demonstrate her commitment to academic enhancement, knowledge dissemination, and international standards.
Rima Amalia Eka Widya is deeply committed to social empowerment, sustainability, and cultural enrichment alongside her academic and professional work. She actively engages in programs that strengthen communities, promote inclusion, and support lifelong learning.
Rima plays a key role in women’s empowerment and family welfare through her position as Secretary of Dharma Wanita Persatuan at the Faculty of Animal Science UGM, where she contributes to social outreach activities, institutional support networks, and collective well-being within the academic community.
Her dedication to cultural diplomacy is reflected in her initiative as Founder and Manager of the Animal Science Angklung Club, an organization that promotes traditional Indonesian music, intercultural appreciation, and student leadership. Through workshops, regular rehearsals, and performances at academic and cultural events, the club has become a meaningful platform for cultural exchange among Indonesian and international students.
In 2025, Rima expanded her social contribution through the SLI 2025 Community Engagement Program, where she works on community-based waste management and circular economy initiatives in Yogyakarta. This project focuses on strengthening local awareness about waste handling, increasing recycling and upcycling practices, and introducing simple circular economy models that generate shared value for communities, youths, and farmer groups. Her role emphasizes collaboration between academia and society—ensuring that knowledge, sustainability, and empowerment reach the grassroots level.
Through these initiatives, Rima Amalia Eka Widya consistently integrates education, sustainability, and cultural diplomacy to support communities, encourage social responsibility, and create meaningful opportunities for growth and collective empowerment.
