Ritsu Kitagawa is a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Waseda University, Japan. He graduated from Waseda University with a B.A. in Economics and M.A. in Economics in 2020 and 2022, respetively. He studies personnel economics with a particular interest in hiring practices and workplace health. Recent projects include a theoretical analysis of optimal hiring, an field experiment of mHealth apps in the workplace, and women's health at work. He is also engaged in social implementation of academic knowledge. He has designed and delivered an e-learning program on data science for human resource for businesspeople at the Institute for Empirical Research in Organizational Economics, Waseda University. He is also currently developing an economics-based software, which helps companies to promote gender equality, at UTokyo Economic Consulting Inc.
