Savaş Dede graduated from Ankara University's Department of Sociology in 2012 and double majored in the same university's Department of International Relations in the Faculty of Political Science. He studied "judicial independence" of Turkish judges from an interdisciplinary approach in his MA at Ankara University's Department of Sociology. Dede, a PhD candidate at Ankara University's Faculty of Political Science, is studying Kurdish nationalism during the Ottoman Empire's last years in his PhD. His scholarly interests include nationalism and the Kurdish question.
