Vasiliki Sirakouli

Vasiliki was trained in the first innovative, interdisciplinary and large scale(1995-2004)  research project on ethnography of music and dance in Greece (http://epth.sfm.gr/article.aspx?ID=2), while still being an undergraduate. She earned a PhD on music and celebration in Xanthi(Northeastern Greece) with fieldwork at the city’s festivals from the Department of Music Studies, NKUA, where she has been teaching music geography, networks and mapping. Her background includes, beyond academia, numerous collaborations with cultural institutes and foundations, educational organizations, and technology and media corporations. She is also active as a member of professional networks, an evaluator and editor on her expertise areas along with holding postdoctoral posts with research on innovative approaches on music and culture.
