Wachirawit Puttachai is currently doing a master's degree in Economics at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. His fields of interest are International Finance and Macroeconomics. His thesis has focused on using a general equilibrium model to estimate the impact of Thailand’s agricultural pesticides cancellation (Paraquat, Glyphosate, and Chlorpyrifos) on the economy of Thailand.
In 2020-Present, he serves as Junior Researcher at Center of Excellence in Econometrics at the same university. Puttachai works appear in many economics journals. He has authored numerous research articles on international financial crises, international financial markets, international development, and macroeconomic policy. His works appear in Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Business, Energy reports, Singapore Economic Review, International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences, Studies in Computational Intelligence, etc. He also received his Bachelor of Economics from Chiang Mai University in 2018.
