Academic Achievements, Social Engagement Initiatives
While pursuing my master’s degree in Turkey, I had the opportunity to advance my academic career abroad through Turkey’s Ministry of Education Scholarship.

I earned my PhD in Law from the University of Warwick, where I specialised in the legal integration of Syrian refugees in Berlin. Shortly after completing my PhD, my first academic publication was released:

Karadag Avci, Y., & Sengul, I. (2024). Navigating Intersectional Complexities: A Narrative Analysis of Syrian Refugee Women With Disabilities in Turkey. Social Inclusion, 12, Article 8772. https://doi.org/10.17645/si.8772

Beyond academia, I have actively contributed to migration-related research and policy initiatives. As a consultant for international organizations, I have designed and coordinated projects that assess refugee needs, support policy development, and strengthen academic research on migration governance.
