I'm a recent PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology; my thesis examined how children in Colombia and Finland learn to behave 'appropriately' according to local norms and values. Previously, I completed an MSc in Demography and Health and a BA in Human Sciences. My inter-disciplinary background and experiences of working with children in education have shaped the development of my research. For my current postdoc, based at the University of Girona (2025-2027), I will integrate approaches from anthropology and developmental psychology to examine how the children's cultural environment shapes how they learn and embody ideas around gender, power, and personal identity.
