Kaushal Sapkota (he/him/his) is a Doctoral Candidate at the School of Planning, Public Policy and Management at the University of Oregon, USA. While his doctoral research focuses on student volunteering in universities in Nepal, his research interests extend to areas of nonprofit management, nonprofit management education, higher education, diaspora philanthropy, and teaching and learning. Kaushal is a 2024 Oregon Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff) Fellow and a former Erasmus Mundus Scholar (2019-21). Kaushal is passionate about photography, loves traveling, and appreciates the arts (theatre, film, and/or any form of expression). He cares deeply about diversity, equity and inclusion, and equitable opportunity for all. He holds an M.Sc. in Administrative Sciences, a Master of Research and Innovation in Higher Education, and a Master of Nonprofit Management Degree. He is currently based in Eugene, Oregon.
