Bio: Linda Kahai
Linda Kahai is Doctoral fellow in the Institute of Social Development based at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town South Africa and a Slyff Fellow. Her areas of research include ex combatants and local peacebuilding in South Afrrica. Linda Kahai holds an Honors degree and a Master’s degree in Development Studies both from the University of the Westen Cape. Linda Kahai has been deeply involved in community work initiatives, working with vulnerable groups, especially on how local communities engage in self-driven local peacebuilding efforts in the absence of external support. Prior to this, she has been working in non-governmental organizations on community resilience in the context of political crisis.
