DeAndré A. Espree-Conaway is a field linguist and founder/CEO of the Bloomfield Language Institute—an organization dedicated to the preservation of the world's linguistic diversity. His research focuses on speech communities within the Austronesian (Borneo) and Otomanguean (Mexico) language families. He aims to merge the subfields of linguistic fieldwork and neurolinguistics in order to gain an understanding of the evolution of language in homo sapiens. He continues to be involved in language revitalization (for endangered languages) and multilingual/mother tongue educational development for minority and indigenous communities.
