Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives: Worked as a field researcher at Istorima, Greece's largest oral history archive.George Parisis is a Greek PhD candidate, living in Athens. He holds a MA and a BA in History, both from the University of Athens. He graduated in 2018, the year he also received a Sylff fellowship, and 2016, respectively. His research interests are the history of football in England and Greece, as well as its social aspects.

His masters’ thesis is “Football and the working classes in 19th century England”, which has been presented at 3 conferences. His PhD dissertation is “The presence of footballers from the British colonies in the English league during the short 20th century”.
