Giulia received a Sylff fellowship for her PhD research in 2016. Her research centred on the volunteers involved with Circles of Support and Accountability, a reintegration framework for individuals convicted for sexual offences. Giulia’s research examined the motivation and experiences of volunteers in New Zealand. The main aim of her research was to contribute to current and ongoing recruitment and training practices. After completing her PhD, Giulia started work as an independent researcher with her primary contracts being with companies that conduct health, education, and social services research and evaluation.
