Mr. Odago is a Sustainable Human Development Coordination and Management specialist with 23 years of work and consultancy experience with UNDP Kenya, UNDP South Sudan, Aga khan University, DBG Somalia among other Organizations and consultancy firms. Strong technical and conceptual skills within the development realm in Strategic planning, Policy Research, Program design and development, Program Coordination and Management, Grants Management, Project Monitoring and Evaluation with a focus on issues related to Democratic Governance, Human Rights, Devolution, Conflict Management, Gender Empowerment and Social Inclusion, Poverty Reduction, Sustainable Environment, ICT, Institutional Capacity Development, and the fight against HIIV and AIDS.

• Awarded Sasakawa Joint Research Exchange Program (J-REX) grant amounting to US$ 5,000 to conduct a regional research project covering East Africa region entitled: “Environmental Conflict Management: The Case of an Effective Early Warning System in Africa”.
• Awarded The Tokyo Foundation research program grant amounting to US$ 5,000 to conduct national research in Kenya entitled: “Civil Society and Democratic Governance in Kenya” from October 1999 to May 2000.
• Awarded The Tokyo Foundation research program grant amounting to US$ 5,000 to conduct national research in Kenya entitled: “Democratizing Management of Universities: The Case of Students Involvement in Policy Formulation in Kenyan Public Universities” May 2001.
