Since 2016, Ike Agustina has been involved in a social project for the development of communities who live in disaster prone areas on the slopes of Mount Merapi, Yogyakarta. She has undertaken various human resources quality improvement programs in this project, especially for the tourism community of Merapi lava tour.

Ike Agustina is a lecturer in Department of Psychology, Universitas Islam Indonesia. She was awarded the Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) in 2007 to complete her master degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakata, Indonesia. As an industrial and organizational psychologist, she has involved in many projects related to human resource management, organization development, psychological assessment in organizational setting, and training design. She is currently a member of International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP).
