Jan-Phillip Graf is a PhD candidate and SYLFF Young Leaders Fellow at the German Institute for International Law of Peace and Armed Conflict at Ruhr-University Bochum. He completed his undergraduate studies in international relations at Dresden University (Germany) and Boston University (USA) in 2018 before moving to Geneva (Switzerland) where he received a master's degree in international law from the renowned Graduate Institute. During his graduate studies he worked at the UN's International Law Commission and was an exchange student at Harvard Law School. His research focuses on international refugee and human rights law as well as the rights of the child.
