I'm a PhD candidate in Modern History at Charles University in Prague. The topic of my dissertation is "The Image of Britain in Czechoslovak Media Discourses between 1939 and 1948". My further research interests focus on history of mentalities and history from below. As SYLFF fellow I conducted a research at Humboldt University in Berlin in 2019. Also I have been a visiting scholar at Jagiellonian University in Krakow and at University of Wrocław. In AY 2020/2021 I taught a course Frontiers of history at SSEES UCL. In 2022 I published study "Our Second Capital on the Banks of the Thames: The Evolution of the Anglophilia of Czechoslovak Exiles in Britain during the Second World War" in Central Europe. As far as my engagement in public sphere is concerned, I regularly contribute to Czech media with commentaries about contemporary issues. I mainly focus on the affairs of the United Kingdom and reflections of historical events.
