My motivation is to control the intestinal environment and develop medicines to treat various diseases to contribute to everyone’s health and happiness around the world. Recent studies have revealed that the gut microbiota is involved not only in intestinal diseases, but also in systemic diseases such as psychiatric disorders and allergies. I aim to clarify the mechanisms of various gut microbiota-related diseases and then to develop mechanism-based drug targeting the gut microbiota.
