Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives: I have finished my Chapter One: Introduction, Chapter Two: Literature Review, Chapter Three: Case Studies, as well as methodology chapter and I am preparing to start my field research on my thesis. I also presented at a conference on 21 September 2021 hosted by Journal of Anti-Corruption Law in collaboration with the Department of Criminal Justice and Procedure in the Faculty of Law at University of the Western Cape and I presented with my supervisor Dr. Msuthukazi Makiva on the paper titled “Local Government Revenue Leakages through Corruption during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Africa: The Case of Zimbabwe" and the paper is going to be published. I have also managed to write more than 10 research papers which I am still looking for suitable journals to publish them. In relation to social engagement, in the fight against climate change, I plant fruit trees home and then donate them to communities for them to plant at their homestead, in the fight against poverty, I donate clothes and groceries to old peoples home called Zororo in Sakubva, Mutare, Zimbabwe as well as in the cyclone Idai affected areas in Chimanimani, Zimbabwe through my colleague Mrs Helen Valintine. I also help people in starting income generating projects by imparting knowledge since I also sell clothes as a project.

Bio: My name is Keith Tichaona Tashu and I was born on 26 March 1994. I did my Undergrad (2016) and Masters (2018) degrees in Public Administration at The University of Zimbabwe. I am currently a PhD student at University of the Western Cape, School of Government. I am also a researcher and my research interest is on Public Policy, Public Finance, and Local Government and my current research is on Fiscal Transparency, Accountability, Citizen Participation, Devolution, Revenue, Corporate Governance, Public Debt Management, Smart Cities and Land Policy.
