I was born in a small state name Manipur in the North-Eastern part of India. After gratuation from Manipur University there I came to complete Masters Degree from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. After completing M.A. and M.Phil I pursued PH. D. from the same university. In 2005 I was fortunate enough to be sellected for SYLFF Fellowship with the help of which I could successfully completed Ph.D in 2010. In 2008 I got three job offers from three different institutions out of which I chose Assam University where I have been working since 2008. I chose the current University as I have a long desire to work on various issues face by people in the region particularly relating to conflicts and the way state has been responding to such issues. During the last 9 years, not only conducting research projects and guiding M.Phil and Ph.D candidates who are working on these issues, I have successfully conducted a fruitful seminars where scholars working on the related issues came together and discussed extensively. My immediate dream includes bringing all activists from accross civil societies and political class, administrators, academicians and scholars working on conflict and its managemt on a common platform for a meaningful discussion on how the conflicts in the North-East India can be brought to an end.
