Naoko Takasu has over 20 years of experience in the development sector with multilateral and bilateral institutions as well as private sector. Prior to joining APU in Apr 2020, she worked in United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Pakistan, Iraq, Tokyo, Bangkok, Tajikistan, and Istanbul. Prior to joining UNDP, she worked at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, International Finance Corporation, and Japan International Development Organization, Ltd. By combining extensive work experience and unique research area on the social and solidarity economy, Naoko hopes to support younger generation to achieve their goals and work together to create a just, sustainable, and peaceful society.
