Naoko Takasu has over 20 years of experience in the development sector with multilateral and bilateral institutions as well as private sector. Upon completion of PhD program at APU in Mar 2023, Naoko started working as a part-time lecturer at Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages, Bunkyo University, Yokohama National University, etc., teaching development studies, international cooperation, and economic development. After working as a full-time professor at Komazawa Women's University for a year, she is now teaching at J.F. Oberlin University as a professor at the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to joining APU in Apr 2020, she worked in United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Pakistan, Iraq, Tokyo, Bangkok, Tajikistan, and Istanbul. She also worked at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, International Finance Corporation, and Japan International Development Organization, Ltd.
