Current affiliation: DULLAH OMAR PUBLIC LAW CENTRE

I exchanged the corporate world for an academic career to become a human rights activist. I have acquired various degrees including LLB, LLM, LLD, POSTDOC certificate. The journey to these degrees has been filled with lecturing, writing and research programmes. My expertise field is public law with a focus on human rights particularly socioeconomic rights focussing on the right to housing.My success in this field has been embellished by my numerous scholarships including, SYLFF, National Research Foundation, Erasmus Mundus. I have done a moblity exchange during my LLD at University Libre Brussels and Postdoctoral research at University Rey Juan Carlos Madrid. I put my knowledge to use in advocacy programmes for impoverished communities, enriching their lives through education in constitutional and housing rights. I continue to advocate for access to housing for the indigent, through research and community engagement.
