Graduate Fellowships for Academic Distinction (GFAD)

Program Description

The program supports the education of graduate students with high potential for future leadership, and grants fellowships in 3 theme areas: environmental protection, political economy and fine arts. Ph.D. students receive $15,000 from the Sylff endowment, a tuition waiver and a $7,000 assistantship from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, renewable for a maximum tenure of 3 years. MA students receive $7,000 from the Sylff endowment, a tuition waiver and a $7,000 assistantship from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, renewable for a second year.
