Current affiliation: The Tokyo Foundation

 David is currently a Research Associate at the Tokyo Foundation. As a scholar-practitioner, his current research focuses on documenting global interconnectivity inherent in 1) sustainability and natural resource conflicts, 2) climate-induced displacement, and 3) refugee resettlement and integration. In recent years David served as a fellow at the Center on International Cooperation, lectured at Tufts University, and consulted to the World Bank’s Global Program on Forced Displacement. Additional work experience includes time with the US government’s International Emergency and Refugee Health Branch, the International Organization for Migration, UNHCR (on detail), and the International Rescue Committee. David is fluent in Spanish, can survive in French, and is working diligently on Japanese.
