Jesada Buaban is an independent researcher specializing in Buddhism, religious identity, and religious change in Southeast Asia. He holds a Ph.D. in Inter-religious Studies from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia (2026), and an M.A. in Southeast Asian Studies from Walailak University, Thailand (2018). He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Religious Anthropology (JORA) and JORA Podcast, connecting researchers, students, and the public through academic publications, interviews, and discussions.
