Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives:
- I supported both Bihar and Odisha SRLMs (State Rural Livelihood Mission) by creating practitioners’ tools, resource manuals and policy drafts within their respective programmes that target poverty alleviation as a state agenda. The policy draft I submitted in my role as State Disability consultant to Government of Bihar’s Rural Livelihood Mission initiative, (BRLPS, JEEViKA), got fully implemented as of August 13, 2020 and I had supported with implementation activities as well.

- Organised and conducted several trainings, orientation workshops, and Trainer of Trainers programme across Bihar as well as Odisha, to develop master resource persons who can support disability inclusion at the community level.

- Part of the team that developed Community Based Rehabilitation Policy draft for Government of Tamilnadu RIGHTS project, to be implemented as a pilot intervention in 5 districts.

- Drafted and Submitted Disability Inclusion (Revised) Policy for BRLPS, Government of Bihar. Implemented on August 3rd, 2020.

I am a disability inclusion researcher and practitioner with strong expertise in community-based interventions, and in cross-sectoral research, having done fieldwork in remote regions across India. I work as disability inclusion consultant for national and international teams. Since October 2021, I work as a Consultant with World Health Organization (WHO) Disability Unit, HQ. I also serve as World Bank Consultant for their project with Tamilnadu Government (India) on disability inclusion.
I had supported Rural Livelihood Mission of Government of India (Bihar State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Odisha Livelihood Mission) as Disability Consultant and Resource Person. I also run a portal https://disability-rights-repository.org/ where I invite field practitioners working in the grassroots, to contribute as authors directly sharing their work and experiences, to create visibility for field level practitioners in development sector. I am a qualified Accessibility Professional (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies), certified by International Association of Accessibility Professionals.
