Final Call for the SYLFF Fellows Mobility Program (FMP) Application

As notified to all SYLFF colleagues early this year, the Tokyo Foundation has been restructuring the overall framework of the SYLFF follow-up programs. The SYLFF Fellows Mobility Program (FMP), which supports SYLFF fellows to conduct academic research at another SYLFF institution overseas, will be discontinued at the end of the foundation’s fiscal 2008 (March 31, 2009) for a new scheme to be launched in our fiscal 2009.

In this current fiscal year ending March 31, 2009, the FMP funds are disbursed based on applications submitted by each FMP institution. If your institution has developed concrete plans to send SYLFF fellows abroad under this program but has not received the fund this fiscal year, please submit your application(s) by January 31, 2009, so that we will be able to review them and remit the fund by March 31, 2009. Please note the following when you apply:

  • Any placement confirmation documents issued by the host institutions must be attached to your applications.
  • Late applications will not be accepted for any reason.
  • Submission of the FMP Program/Financial Reports of fiscal 2007 (April 1, 2007-March 31, 2008) is requested before applying.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us.
