Academic achievements, social engagement initiatives: Faid actively involves in tourism development research and training in Indonesia. He has published several articles of tourism in journals and local newspapers and also involves in tourism organization, such as: Madura Tourism Association (ASPRIM), The Indonesian Tourist Guide Association (HPI), Batu Tourism Professional Association (BAPTA), Batu Tourism Village Forum (FORDEWI) and several tourism NGOs to empower community through tourism, especially tourism village management

Current affiliation: PhD Candidate at Tourism Faculty of Udayana University in Bali - Indonesia, Lecturer of Tourism and Hotel Management at Vocational Education Program of Brawijaya University in Malang, East Java Province - Indonesia and CEO of Nusantara Tourism Center (eNTCe) in Batu City, East Java Province- Indonesia

Faid has completed his undergraduate degree on tourism management from STMP ARS International in Bandung - West Java Province (2006). In 2007, he has completed his master degree on tourism from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta Province - Indonesia (2009) where he got SYLFF scholarship. When he studies in undergraduate program, he got scholarship from STMP ARS International. He also actively participated in tourism discussion and seminar and involved in the student organization, such as a chairman of the Muslim Student Association. Furthermore, when he was master student at Gadjah Mada University, he actively involved in several tourism seminars and he was the chairman of Social Sciences and Humanities Forum (FISH) in 2008, he wrote English books "Fundamental of English Grammar", published by Pustaka Widayatama Publishing, he wrote several articles on tourism published by the local newspaper and ever became tourism lecturer of AMPTA College in Yogyakarta since 2009 - 2011. Now he is the lecturer of Hotel Management Department at Vocational Education Program of Brawijaya University in Malang City. He teaches and researches on the tourism and hotel management issues and he was the head of Travel Business Study Program (DIII) and Hotel Management Study Program (DIV) since 2013 - 2017. Besides as a lecturer, he has founded the tourism consultancy "Nusantara Tourism Center (eNTCe)". The core activity is providing the tourism consulting services and advices to the private and public sector in Indonesia, such as: the tourism development masterplan, tourist market analysis, tourism business development planning, and so on. Because of his capability, he was often invited to be speaker or trainer by the local government and NGO in several tourism forums and community based tourism trainings in East Java Province - Indonesia. In 2019 , he was selected as the tourism expert of Batu City Government and Sumenep Government in 2021. His role in this position is giving advices and inputs to both local government (Batu and Sumenep) in making policy and decision related to tourism development. And then, in September 2019, he continued to study his doctoral program on tourism at Udayana University in Bali - Indonesia. Now, he is researching about empowerment to encourage the community independence in the tourism village development in Batu City - East Java Province - Indonesia.
